Who Is “Reset With Jai?”

Peace and Blessings y’all! I’m Jasira, known affectionately as Jasira K. or Coach Jai (“Jay,”) I’m a proud native of Goldsboro, NC. and have also lived in Greensboro, NC, Durham, NC, Charlotte, NC and Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

A singer, my original plan was to become a music and voice teacher, but God had other plans, and after graduating from Winston-Salem State University (BS - Management Information Systems) and East Carolina University (MA, Adult Education), I worked my way through the ranks of Corporate and Leadership Training with multiple startups, small businesses and Fortune 100/500 companies, where I discovered my natural gift of teaching and mentoring.

A survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, narcissistic and emotional abuse, layoffs, financial ruin, business failures, heartbreaks, betrayals, and multiple other challenges, I’ve had multiple opportunities to give up, quit, and descend into anger and bitterness. I’m only still here because of my spiritual grounding, strong will, an even stronger lineage of black women who came before me, and an amazing circle of friends and family who’ve always helped me get back up, and I’ve dedicated most of the last 15 years helping others do the same. I am a certified Life Coach, speaker, blogger, award-winning radio show co-host, podcaster, content creator, mentor, event host, and new author.

I went through what would become a 2-year spiritual reset journey beginning in 2022, which resulted in my name change to “Jasira" (meaning “bold and courageous,”) closing all of my former businesses and deleting all of my social media accounts - leaving behind thousands of followers, thousands of videos, and hundreds of podcast episodes - to enjoy living life “offline,” I took time to celebrate my previous accomplishments privately, and truly believed I’d completed that chapter of my story… but God had other plans (again, Lol).

Reset with Jai was born, and I evolved from relationship coach to reinvention strategist and transformation coach - focusing on helping people become better prepared for the love they desire, by first growing into the person who will be ready for it. Through my Emerge coaching brand, available as a private container through Emerge: A 1:1 Immersion, and a group cohort intensive through Emerge: Collective, I use my trademarked The Reset Code(TM) coaching blueprint (focusing on Mind, Mood, Money, Muscle, Morals, Mojo and Minimalism) to create not only a global brand, but a space for those running from themselves, from past pain, or past failure, to discover who they are beyond. titles, accomplishments, and relationship status, and introduce them to a life that represents who they were created to be, not what life, or other people’s expectations, told them to become.

I am also a spiritual advisor to public figures through Sacred Alignment, currently available by invite or referral only.

When not working, you can find me in the gym, reading a book, going to concerts, enjoying self-care, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my son and my circle.
